    PASGT Helmet

Constructed with multi-layers of high ballistic cloth impregnated with a thermoplastic resin, ZETA™ series are designed to provide the protection against ballistic and fragmentation threats.

Conforming to U.S military specification MIL-H-44099A, ergonomically designed shell has ideal distribution of mass over the head centerline.

It provides optimum coverage of the head from the fatal threats of fragments and shrapnel.

The two-component polyurethane paint allows decontamination after exposure to liquid

chemical agent.

Integrated outer shell and adjustable suspension system provides enhanced stability and comfort.

A complete range of models, from ZETA-1 to ZETA-7, provide variety of choice for ballistic protection levels.

Fragment Resistance versus Bullet Resistance

Combat soldiers suffer injury or fatality, ironically, rarely from bullets but are confronted with higher risks of fatal threat from primary or environmental fragments. There is the reason why the fragment resistance of ballistic helmets should have more importance than the bullet resistance.

Ballistic Protection Test

The V50 test is the internationally recognized standard test tool to determine the effectiveness of a ballistic material, strength-to-weight ratio, which relates to stopping bullets or fragments.

This test shows at what velocity a bullet or a fragment will have a 50percent chance of penetrating a given piece of armour. The V50 method consists of a 16-shot test factored through logistical resistance analysis : the V50 is arrived at by shooting the armour numerous times, with the same type of bullet or fragment, across a broad range of velocities. The 17-grain fragment simulating projectiles conforming to MIL-STD-46593A have been most commonly used for the V50 test with the provision of MIL-STD-662. The V50 value is the average velocity of fragment simulating projectiles and determines an ultimate protection capability of ballistic helmets form the threat of bullets or fragments.
